This course is designed to provide healthcare professionals with a brief overview of the My Health Record System and how it can be used to support the administration of the COVID-19 vaccine. It provides a brief overview of My Health Record and specifically discusses Shared Health Summaries, Medications View and the enhanced Immunisation View and relates their use to the COVID-19 vaccination.

The content in this module has been divided into four short topics:

  • What is My Health Record?
  • Accessing My Health Record
  • Using My Health Record to support COVID-19 vaccinations
  • Updating a person's My Health Record after a COVID-19 vaccination

It will take approximately 30 minutes to complete. You can leave the module at any time and return later.

This module provides an overview of My Health Record and describes how general practitioners (GPs) can use it within their practice. 

At the end of this module, you will be able to:

  • determine the key health information you can access to support clinical decision-making and improve patient safety
  • integrate My Health Record into general practice workflow
  • outline the importance of uploading quality data to the My Health Record system.
