The Digital Health Security Awareness eLearning course has been developed to provide an introduction to online security concepts for the healthcare sector. There are 5 modules in this course and each can be accessed separately.

Module 1 provides an overview of the proactive role you can play to protect the confidentiality of people’s health information. Module 2 highlights the importance of adopting safe practises when online so that you can avoid falling victim to a security threat. Module 3 outlines how to create strong passwords as the first line of defence to minimise the risk of unauthorised access. Module 4 outlines a range of security measures that you can take to protect your networks and devices to reduce the risk of a security incident. Module 5 outlines the importance of understanding your obligations to protect healthcare information and the steps you and your organisation need to take if a security incident or data breach occurs.

You can complete these modules in your preferred order.
